Portraits: charlotte’s one year session, pamperin park, green bay

fall-family-pictures-pamperin-park-green-bay-child-one-year-outdoors-lifestyle-leaves-colorful-photos-1 fall-family-pictures-pamperin-park-green-bay-child-one-year-outdoors-lifestyle-leaves-colorful-photos-2When newborns we photograph come back for their one year milestone, I am always amazed by how much can change in a single year. Nothing marks a year gone by more pointedly than a baby’s growth. In wonderful cases like Baby Charlotte, we’ve gotten to see them in between as they start to sit up, smile and interact. But when we see them at one year old, standing, laughing, and – in Charlotte’s case – running, it’s really incredible. Those tiny sleeping bundles grow up and we love seeing the new things they learn and the little people they’re growing into. Charlotte’s session was all fall fun, starting with mommy and daddy time and ending with balloons, pumpkins, and leaves. Her favorite things are songs, books, and teasing us by running the other way. Happy First Birthday. Charlotte!

Portraits: warm fall family session at barkhausen waterfowl preserve, suamico

This makes everyone more relaxed and helps us create authentic images with playful moments like the ones captured in this session. The brother/sister duo, Avery and Jackson, are funny and sweet together. Their curiosity makes everything new and interesting as though their experiences are a big adventure to be conquered together – hand in hand, side by side. They are always ready for wherever we plan to go, and whatever we want to play next. We really enjoyed photographing this session, and couldn’t be happier with that warm, sunny, light that is the ultimate gift of early fall.

Portraits: elizabeth’s one year session, pamperin park, green bay

green-bay-family-photographer-pamperin-park-pictures-child-one-year-outdoors-lifestyle-photos-1 green-bay-family-photographer-pamperin-park-pictures-child-one-year-outdoors-lifestyle-photos-2Outdoor sessions with kiddos have so much more personality to them. Outdoors there are things to explore, places to run to, games to play, and of course all the natural beauty that is Wisconsin in summer.  Elizabeth turned one in spring, and ever since then she’s been on the move. It was important to us to capture this new milestone for her family, and Pamperin Park in Green Bay was a great location. Elizabeth is playful, fearless, and full of smiles. She teased us by looking away as she laughed and by running full speed after each big smile. This made natural images that show exactly who she is right now (sneaky expressions and all). Happy First Birthday, Elizabeth!

Portraits: rustic family session at fonferek glen, green bay

rustic-country-family-green-bay-photography-kids-children-fonferek-glen-photos-1 rustic-country-family-green-bay-photography-kids-children-fonferek-glen-photos-2Little boys going on big adventures – there is nothing more perfect. That’s what we loved about the {C} Family’s session at Fonferek Glen in De Pere. Hayden, Mason, and Brady each have completely different personalities, but when it comes to getting into mischief together, they are all in. The fields of Fonferek were a great place for them to explore and play as we captured the colors and textures of the warm summer night. The session ended with the family of five holding hands and walking toward the fields, their long shadows stretching across the grass. These are the summer moments that midwesterners cling to as the days get shorter and the kiddos grow bigger. We were so happy to capture these boys at such fun ages, full of curiosity and joy!

Portraits: country family session in new london, wisconsin

New-London-Family-Photographer-Green-Bay-Country-Rustic-Fields-Photography-Children-Kids-1 New-London-Family-Photographer-Green-Bay-Country-Rustic-Fields-Photography-Children-Kids-2We could not get enough of these cute kiddos! Isley and Chance were playful, sweet, and just excited to be taking photos at the site of their new home. The {C} Family is building their house on acres of fields, woods, and farmland in New London, Wisconsin. This made for an incredible backdrop for family strolling, wildflower picking, and sibling snuggles. As soon as we arrived, we got a tour around the area on the family ATV to check out different spots. As dad started it up, Isley hopped aboard to make sure she got an opportunity to ride the “weeeeeee!” As we cruised around the property she kept turning toward us to smile and check that we were having fun too. The session was wonderful and we even got the opportunity to snap a few Avengers themed photos at the end to highlight a favorite family interest. We’re looking forward to sharing sneaks of their beautiful album and wall art as they arrive over the next few weeks!

Portraits: extended family session at green isle park, green bay

Green-Bay-Extended-Family-Photos-Group-Photos-Photography-Green-Isle-Park-Casual-Fun1 Green-Bay-Extended-Family-Photos-Group-Photos-Photography-Green-Isle-Park-Casual-Fun2Warm nights, being outside, and enjoying time with family… that’s what summer is all about! Kari’s family session had all those elements underscored with happy cousins playing and laughing in the park together. It can be a challenge to get extended family together for pictures, but the results are so worth the time spent finding clothes and choosing dates. All four boys did a great job for their session (even little Harry who wasn’t quite two yet!) Each of them have bright and spirited personalities and we loved getting to know them.

Stay tuned on our social media accounts for a couple more sneaks as well as a preview of the wall art displays the family has selected for their homes!

May brings blooming trees, bright green hues, and long beautiful evenings like this one. The {M} Family planned their session in celebration of little Asher turning six months old, but it also made a great opportunity for family photos, portraits of the older kiddos, and a few special mommy/daddy photos with baby number three. There was time spent adventuring into the long grasses, snuggling baby brother, and playing games. Asher is happy and easygoing no matter the situation and he is completely enamored with his big sister. Kendall is smart, funny, and quick to pick up on everything around her, and Trent is playful, sweet, and an absolute ham for the camera. All three did a great job for their session and we had a wonderful evening in the park together!

Portraits: elizabeth’s sitting session, green bay, wisconsin

Green-Bay-Infant-Child-6-months-studio-family-photographyElizabeth is the happiest baby. She is always full of giggles and smiles, never nervous to be held by friends and family who love her snuggly nature. Elizabeth was eight months for her sitting session and everyone was unsure how it would go that day because she had missed her nap and just gotten over a sickness. We assured them that we could always reschedule, but decided to give Lizzie a little time to adjust first. In no time, she was back to her happy self – giggling, sticking out her tongue, and flashing the bright smile she inherited from daddy. I love photographing little ones at the sitting stage because of how much personality comes out (it’s also one of the last stages before they become master crawlers, and can sneak away from us!) Can’t wait to watch you grow, Baby Elizabeth!

Portraits: family session at the national railroad museum, green bay, wisconsin

National-Railroad-Museum-Trains-Green-Bay-Photos-Family-Photographer-Winter-Outdoors-Kids-BirthdayI have always loved trains. I’m not exactly sure where the fascination comes from (my best guess is that it’s a mix of mid-century nostalgia and unquenchable wanderlust). Regardless, I was thrilled when Meagan suggested the National Railroad Museum in Green Bay as the location for their family session. As it turns out little Rowan also loves trains!

Our session took place the week after the first big snowstorm hit Wisconsin, leaving it under a blanket of white. Rowan and Hawthorn were both excited to explore the train museum, climbing inside the engines to see how things worked. We photographed the family out front in the frosty landscape, then spent some time inside with the boys as they discovered all there was to see in their very first visit. As the sun began to go down, we snagged a few more moments outdoors in the beautiful, evening light. This family is always a joy to photograph – so much love and so much play!
