Weddings: lauren & zach, meyer theatre and tundra lodge, green bay

The moment we met Lauren and Zach we knew we wanted to be a part of their wedding. They are interesting, down to earth, and fun to be around. They love dogs, music, bourbon, and the outdoors. Lauren and Zach’s wedding was such a blast for us because it was a creative challenge. The intimate Meyer Theatre ceremony meant we got to play with the drama of stage lighting; afterwards we photographed in the center of the theatre with dramatic flash and backlighting, and from there we went downtown into full sun on Washington Street, the Citydeck, and Lambeau Field. It was like photographing three short weddings in one and we are SO excited about the results!

Their reception was held at Tundra Lodge and was full of excitement with a dessert bar (including a Wisconsin Badgers cake, Lauren’s pride and joy), and dueling pianos for entertainment. They set the stage, and their guests brought the party. The dance floor was never empty and Lauren and Zach were always front and center. Congratulations, Lauren and Zach! It was our pleasure to be a part of your special day!

Weddings: cora & eric, olde 41 vandervest, green bay

Cora and Eric’s wedding is one that I have just been bursting at the seams to share! We loved everything about it – the soft lavender bridal gowns, outdoor ceremony along Duck Creek, and all the little details (like the succulent takeaway gifts!) From the moment we arrived that morning it was clear how much time and heart Cora and Eric put into planning their wedding day.

Both the ceremony and reception were held at Olde 41 and after a handful of pictures the bridesmaids were back inside watching guests and groomsmen arrive from the windows. After some last minute moments with mom and a beautiful ceremony, the bridal party packed into the trolly and headed for Lambeau Field. Our favorite photos were taken back at Vandervest as the golden fall light passed across the creek. Cora and Eric are so sweet together and we loved capturing how they care for one another. Congratulations, Cora and Eric! Cheers to a lifetime of happiness!

Weddings: tracy & kristy at meyer theatre and titletown brewery, green bay

It was a small ceremony in Minneapolis with just a few friends in attendance. This June the couple celebrated in style (Gastby-chic-meets-downtown-modern style to be specific) and we were their to photograph all the sparkling goodness!

The ceremony took place onstage at the historic Meyer Theatre, followed by photos in the city’s Broadway District and a brewery reception at Titletown Taproom. We adored the antique brass tones, thistle floral arrangements, and art nouveau inspired details, but mostly we loved working with this creative, fun-loving couple and their little man (who smiled all the way down the aisle in Kristy’s arms!) Congratulations, Tracy, Kristy, and Vinny!

Portraits: family session at lambeau field, green bay

Lambeau-Field-Green-Bay-Family-Photography-Packers-Photographer-Winter-Kids-ChildrenGreen Bay is such a classic, midwestern city. If people guessed what we are best known for, even with very little knowledge they would almost certainly be right: breweries, cheese, and football. And we take them all very seriously. 🙂

When Gail contacted me from La Grange, Texas and mentioned that she and her daughter would be traveling in for a Packers football game, and were considering a Green Bay family session, I could not be more excited. They are huge Packers fans, despite living in Cowboys country, and so there was only one perfect location for their session – Lambeau Field.

True Wisconsin winter (including the heavy snow and harsh wind) had not quite arrived on that December day, but for little Harper, the 40 degree weather was still a big change from the 80 degrees they left behind. She handled it like a champ and was so fun to photograph!  We spent some time in front of the stadium, went down into the bowl, and even stopped outside for a “Lambeau leap” before wrapping up the session. The next day Gail and Harper were back in the stadium with thousands of others to cheer on the Packers against their home team!
