I love the crisp air, the bright colors, the crunch of leaves underfoot – all of it. This fall arrived later than usual, which was perfect for photographers like us, because we got a chance to capture it well into November. Kirsten’s session was on a cool late October day and involved cute clothes, playing in leaves, and a few photos with her brother and sister. The entire session was relaxed as we chatted with Kirsten and her family, and she demonstrated a few tennis and soccer skills for us. Kirsten is down-to-earth and fun to be around. She participates in sports at school and enjoys water activities, being outside, and painting. We adored all the little session details and can’t wait to deliver their album and wall art. Congratulations! Enjoy your senior year, Kirsten!

Senior Session: paige, botanical gardens & downtown green bay

We meet fun people in cute clothes and spend the afternoon making beautiful images. Paige’s session at Green Bay Botanical Gardens and downtown Green Bay in the Broadway District was especially fun because she brought along her best friend, Hanna. The day was filled with warm fall light balanced by rough urban textures – a perfect combination for vibrant images. Paige is a student at Notre Dame High School where she is involved in sports and attends many school sporting events with friends. She is enjoying her senior year and looking forward to everything that comes after. Congratulations, Paige (Hanna too!)

Senior Session: tanner, citydeck & downtown green bay

He is smart, easygoing, and a natural in front of the camera. We spent his session wandering downtown Green Bay and along the Fox River waterfront. I love the rich textures of the city: brick, iron, boardwalk, and I enjoy getting to know seniors like Tanner and everything that they’re planning for their respective futures. Tanner is still deciding between colleges (although if his sister has anything to say about it, he will join the family at UW-Oshkosh). Either way, one thing is for sure, Tanner has a bright future in front of him. Congratulations and enjoy your senior year, Tanner!

Senior Session: anthony, lambeau field & anderson dock, door county

Door-County-Senior-Photos-Anderson-Dock-Senior-Portraits-Pictures-Ephraim-Photographer-1 Lambeau-Field-Senior-Photos-Green-Bay-Packers-Senior-Portraits-Pictures-Photographer-2When you have a passion for something as great as Anthony’s passion for the Green Bay Packers, distance is no obstacle. Anthony and his father, Michael, planned Anthony’s senior photos as a destination session from their home in Minnesota. Each year the two of them travel to Lambeau for a game, and it was obvious to the two of them that Lambeau Field would be the perfect location for Anthony’s class photos. I loved the idea of a destination senior session, and we began planning for the two day event with part of the session on the waterfront in Ephraim. Both days had gorgeous, warm weather and we loved getting to know Anthony and his family! Congratulations, Anthony, enjoy your senior year!

Senior Session: nic, bairds creek green bay

Green-Bay-Bairds-Creek-Senior-Photos-Photographer-East-High-School-Senior-Portraits-Fall-Autumn-WoodsThis year’s late fall meant good things for us photographers, including beautiful color like this through the very last days of October. This worked out great for Nic’s senior session as he was looking for autumn photos in the woods. Nic is an avid hiker and he loves Baird’s Creek in Green Bay for the trails and scenery. We started out photographing a few places we were very familiar with, but then went on to explore extra trails that were new to us and known well by Nic. It felt more like a casual October hike (with camera gear of course!) than a typical senior session. Just another time I was grateful that being a photographer means spending time outside on the best days of the year.

I absolutely love the rich orange and brown tones we got a chance to capture for Nic’s session. I’ve always been a sucker for fall, and it might have something to do with the fact that days like this one – calm, warm, filled with bright color – only happen a few days out of the year. Enjoy your final year, Nic!

Senior Session: cori, depere preserve

De_Pere_Nature_Preserve_Senior_Portraits_Golden_Light_OutdoorsI love fall; it has always been my favorite season.  It’s not just the leather boots, scarves, and pumpkin lattes though, it also has to do with the way the light begins to change. In autumn, as the sun begins to set earlier in the day, it creates a more dramatic golden hour – with light filtering through colored leaves and making this warm, glowing effect. This is the perfect light we had for Cori’s senior session.

Cori was so fun to work with; she is quick-witted, bold, and attentive.  Her entire session was filled with jokes and conversations about travel, future plans, family.  She was completely natural in front of the camera and photographing her made for a fun afternoon. Whatever Cori decides to do in the future, we know she will be doing it with gumption.  Enjoy your senior year, Cori!

Senior Session: summer, downtown sturgeon bay, cave point

Door_County_Senior_Photos_Cave_Point

Senior photography is always such a blast for us; we get to explore new locations and meet some really cool people.  Summer is from Southern Door’s class of 2015, and looking forward to one last year before heading off to college.  We met in downtown Sturgeon Bay for her session, taking a few photos at urban spots we scouted earlier, as well as the iconic steel bridge.  Summer brought along her really cool Schwinn cruiser to use in her session (which being a bike lover myself, I was pretty excited for!)  We stopped off at Cave Point for a few more shots and climbed down to the water’s edge.  Summer’s session was so fun; we loved getting to know her, her family, and her sweet boyfriend Michael.  Enjoy your last year, Summer!

Senior Session: alyssa, crossroads at big creek, sturgeon bay

Dantoin-Sturgeon-Bay2Each year we choose a few soon-to-be seniors from local schools to be our senior reps.  We choose bold, fashionable, outgoing students who have something interesting to offer.  Alyssa is no exception; she is smart, sweet and involved in nearly everything in school and out including being a big sister for Big Brothers Big Sisters and being class president.  Somehow, with all of these commitments, she still manages to work on the side.  To say that Alyssa is hardworking and looking toward the future is an understatement.  For Alyssa’s session we chose a mix of downtown urban locations, and rustic fields at Crossroads at Big Creek in Sturgeon Bay.  Alyssa and her family were wonderful to get to know and the session was a blast!  Glad to have you as our rep, Alyssa!
