Photographers spend a lot of time talking about the voice or theme of different weddings when we chat amongst ourselves. If I were to talk about Ashley and Jesse’s wedding with my photographer friends, the first thing I would mention is what a powerful color story it had. Ashley and Jesse chose a bold look with two simple colors, red and white, and used them as focal points connecting every part of their day together from the ceremony at Saint Bernadette Parish in Appleton to our photography stops at Lawrence University and Doty Park, to the reception at Bridgewood Resort in Neenah. The pure white of their details (like the textured cake, glowing candles, and beaded dress) acted as a continuous theme, punctuated by pops of bright red roses. It was romantic and we loved it.
Jesse and Ashley have been so wonderful to get to know as a couple, from our first meeting over coffee to their picturesque apple blossom engagement, they are clearly a pair who bring out the best in each other. It was wonderful to be a part of their wedding day, and to see not only how much they care for one another, but also how much their friends and family care for them. Congratulations, Ashley and Jesse!
