Bay Beach, Green Bay

Bethzy imagined her senior photos on a beach — toes in the sand, waves coming in. And oftentimes we don’t think of Green Bay as having beach property. But truly, Bay Beach is a beautiful place to access the sand, dreamy cottonwood trees, and even splashing around in the water (if you’re feeling brave!)

We started Bethany’s session on the shore, posed on limestone rocks, capturing classic senior photos for her to submit to Notre Dame Academy, the high school she attends here in Green Bay. As the sun began to go down and the light got soft, we moved toward the sand, settling in on driftwood, and eventually, moved our way to the water.

At the water’s edge we started with a few barefoot photos dipping her toes in the water, then asked Bethzy if she’d prefer to stay dry or if she wanted to do a few more dramatic shots twirling in the water or tossing it at the camera. She said she was game to try a few water photos, and I love how they turned out! Bethany’s family even chose a large canvas for the wall where she’s splashing water up, scarf flying, hair caught in the wind. Candid photos like these have the ability to capture such a fun side to seniors!
