Camp Wandawega Engagement Party

When Angie and Emily got engaged, they knew that what they wanted most was to spend time with their very closest friends and family doing the things they loved best — sitting around fires, going for hikes, enjoying the water, and playing late night board games.

At first they imagined this as a wedding, but as the plans evolved they decided to host the most epic engagement party weekend with their favorite people! Everyone gathered together for a summer camp for sorts, all in celebration of Emily and Angie. With canvas duffles and wool blankets the crew arrived and donned their themed summer camp tees. The rest of the weekend was filled with connecting with nature and each other.

We loved getting to bum around and take in all the summer camp goodness with our cameras. It reminded me of old scout camps with a swimming dock, canoes, archery lanes, and even a craft cabin. We captured boundless details of all the dreamy ephemera Camp Wandawega has to offer, then we got to follow the couple around for candids with their families, group photos, and of course, woodsy engagement photos. The whole thing felt very Moonrise Kingdom and we’re here for it.

The night wound down with a big potluck meal, dice games, and chatting around the campfire. We even snuck away with the couple for a few final photos in the treehouse as the stars came out in that big moody sky. What a dream to be a party of such a fun and charming love story!
