We love when we get to see families on the regular! We watch their children grow and change and we develop that sort of relationship where they are excited to see us, tease me, play with Ben, and to explore a new location or a new time of year.

Megan and her kiddos had their family session done in the apple blossoms of Lautenbach Orchard in Door County as the perfect nod to spring. Megan is a Door County local so she knows the midwestern joy of seeing those first little white and pink blossoms appear after months of snow and darkness. Blossoms are first sign that summer is around the corner and with it, all the wonderful things that a Door County summer means — beach days, ice cream, campfires.

Alessio and Waylon are at such fun ages where Alessio can tease us back and Waylon has just got his running legs. This made the session extra playful and energetic! We knew that rain was on its way on their session date, but we trusted the radar to say that we had enough time to get everything we needed before it hit. Sure enough! Just as we finished our last few photos and took Waylon over to see the big tractor (his great love!) the storm clouds billowed up, darkening the sky behind us.

The kids had a little time to play on the playground and then we were all whisked away safety into cars before the rain came down. Love when nature gives us just what we need!
