Engagements: cozy frozen waterfall session in green bay

Wisconsin_Winter_Frozen_Waterfall_Engagement_Session_Christmas_Green_Bay_Wequiock_Falls_SnowWinter engagements might just be my favorite.  Numb toes, red noses, and pockets filled with handwarmers are completely worth the romance of winter sessions.  There is something enchanting about two people in a chilly scene with only each other (and a mug of hot cocoa) to keep them warm.

Jenessa and Joe are a wonderful couple to be around; they are funny, smart, and easygoing.  Their relationship has that feeling of two people completely comfortable with one another and ready for whatever the next adventure brings.  I was so excited when Jenessa announced her engagement and very glad when she chose us as wedding photographers.  Years ago Jenessa was one of our first senior sessions to photograph, and it is pretty great to see her again (full of the same bright smiles!)  She and Joe met working at UW-Madison in the campus cafeteria; rumors of them dating ran between coworkers until they decided to give those rumors a little truth.  This October he proposed at his parents’ home along the lake with relatives peering out the window ready to celebrate this next big milestone.

We are really looking forward to their wedding next June at the Botanical Gardens…no matter what the weather brings, we can all rejoice in knowing it will be above -4 degrees. 😉  Congratulations, Jenessa and Joe!
