Taya and Abi’s session was a two part senior session. Often when siblings graduate the same year, they share their senior session with a “Sibling Split”where we do both their photos at the same location on the same day, including a few photos of the two of them together as well. But since Abi’s session vision and Carrie’s vision for her sister Taya were a bit different, they also did a “Season Split” and we did half the photos in summer along the water in Door County, then met up for this session in early fall with Abi.

Abi’s vision was definitely on the more rustic side. She wanted long grasses and water, barefoot in a boho-flower-child-meets-barnwood sort of way. We settled on Fonferek Glen for her session as I knew it would give her that rustic farm look with the old granary barn and wood fence line, as well as that natural boho look with the wildflower fields and waterfall.

On her session day the wind was calm and the brambly field was full of bright yellow mustard bursting forth with color. The water level was high in the waterfall, but flowing calmly, perfect for taking a little dip in the water so Abi could live out her water goddess vision that this dress was made for.

We are so lucky to be senior photographers in an area with so much wildlife diversity as Green Bay and Northeast Wisconsin. I love locations like this full of lush greenery, and beautiful buildings.
