I love weddings where couples take chances and plan their wedding to suit themselves (not some silly idea of what a wedding should be). This was the greatest part about Kayla and Zach’s wedding. They are big time sports fans, with Brewers baseball topping the list. When they got engaged and began to plan, it only made sense to incorporate this love of a team that bonded them together. Kayla and Zach held their wedding day on the field of the Timber Rattlers Stadium in Appleton, Wisconsin. The girls were in royal blue dresses with bright yellow shoes (the vintage Brewers colors) and the guys had boutonnieres made from baseballs.
The day was filled with incredible details: a popcorn bar, stadium tickets for place-cards, and centerpieces made from worn baseballs in glass pillars. Kayla and Zach had thought of everything, and it made for the best guest experience – with surprises around every corner. (We loved it too!) After the ceremony, we spent some time photographing on the field at the stadium, and in the late afternoon, headed over to Doty Park for that warm, glowing October light that makes people like me fall in love with autumn. Congratulations to Kayla and Zach!
