Right from the start Robyn and Rich expressed how nontraditional their wedding would be. It was his second marriage, and he and Robyn had been together for over a decade. With their lives so intertwined already, the wedding was a formality of sorts, but one that felt important to celebrate!
Woodwalk Art Gallery Wedding
When deciding what their wedding should look like, it was easy to consider a simple default like a courthouse wedding or a quick backyard I-do, but when it came down to it, Robyn and Rich wanted to share the moment with their families and chose a place that felt meaningful to them. The couple selected Woowalk Gallery because of its beautiful outdoor pergola space and cozy barn interior for their reception. The wedding was a destination Door County wedding, so their families traveled in from all over to celebrate with them, with Robyn and Rich as tourist hosts, sharing all the beauty of of the peninsula with their friends and family.
Small,Intimate Door County Wedding
Robyn wore a flowy teal dress that had a Stevie Knicks feel to it, and Rich was in a traditional suit, escorted by his son, Ben. As a takeaway gift, the couple chose shawls for guests that matched their wedding’s color story. October can be a rollercoaster in Door County, but the afternoon was filled with golden hour sunshine and the cool temperatures didn’t take away from the joyous experience.
Door County Outdoor Fall Wedding
After the ceremony wrapped up, and family photos were taken with all the important people in their lives (which is an easy task with only 50 guests!), everyone headed into the barn gallery space to enjoy a reception surrounded by beautiful art. The string lights and flowers filled the space with a festive atmosphere and the smell of good food on a cool evening was exactly what this group was in want of. A sweetheart table, candlelight, heartfelt speeches, and family members dabbing tears from their eyes completed the experience. It was such a joy to celebrate Robyn and Rich!
